- 2 cups fresh or thawed blackberries
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp cornstarch
Topping:
- ¼ cup chopped pistachios
- Fresh blackberries

Compote: Cook berries, sugar, lemon & cornstarch until thick; cool; spread; chill 30 min.
