Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium 300 g onions, sliced
  • 1 cup 100 g chickpea flour
  • 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast optional
  • 3/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml water
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 green chili finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp parsley or cilantro chopped
  • 3 Tbsp oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Thinly slice onions and set aside.
  • Whisk remaining ingredients (except oil) into a thick batter.
  • Stir in onions and herbs until coated.
  • Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
  • Drop batter into pan and fry 2–4 min per side.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
