- 1 cup milk or dairy-free alternative
- 1 large egg
- 1 –2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
In a saucepan, combine oats, milk, and salt. Simmer until soft.
In a bowl, whisk egg with vanilla and maple syrup.
Temper egg with a few spoonfuls of hot oats, whisking constantly.
Pour egg mixture into pot and stir over low heat until creamy.
Serve warm with desired toppings.
