Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 –2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, combine oats, milk, and salt. Simmer until soft.
  • In a bowl, whisk egg with vanilla and maple syrup.
  • Temper egg with a few spoonfuls of hot oats, whisking constantly.
  • Pour egg mixture into pot and stir over low heat until creamy.
  • Serve warm with desired toppings.

Notes
