Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • cup granulated sugar
  • tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line muffin tin.
  • Whisk dry ingredients in one bowl.
  • In another bowl, mix sugar, butter, egg, buttermilk, and vanilla.
  • Stir in dry mix until just combined. Don’t overmix.
  • Divide batter into muffin cups. Bake 20–22 mins.

Notes
