Ingredients
  

  • 1 12-oz. package pitted Medjool dates
  • 4 oz softened goat cheese
  • cup very finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 tsp minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 tsp orange zest plus 2 tsp fresh orange juice
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • Hot honey for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  • Slice dates lengthwise, fill each with 1–2 tsp goat cheese. Arrange in baking dish.
  • Mix walnuts, rosemary, orange zest and juice, cinnamon, salt, and olive oil.
  • Spoon over dates.
  • Bake 15 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to platter, drizzle with hot honey, and serve warm.

• Medjool dates work best for their soft, rich texture.
