Refreshing Iced Passion Fruit Black Tea

This simple drink combines brewed black tea with vibrant passion fruit pulp and a touch of sugar for natural sweetness. Poured over ice and optionally garnished with mint, it’s a refreshing way to stay cool all summer long.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups water divided
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 3 tablespoons vegan granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup passion fruit pulp from about 4–5 ripe fruits
  • Ice for serving
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Bring 1½ cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the black tea bags.
  • Let steep for 3–4 minutes, then discard the tea bags.
  • While the tea is still hot, add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
  • Pour in the remaining 1½ cups of cool or room-temperature water to help cool the tea.
  • Stir in the passion fruit pulp. If you prefer a smoother tea, strain to remove seeds.
  • Fill glasses with ice, then pour the tea over.

Notes

  • You can swap passion fruit pulp for bottled juice in a pinch, but fresh yields the best flavor.
  • Adjust sugar to your liking—passion fruit can vary in sweetness.
  • Chill the tea in the fridge for 1–2 hours for an extra cold version.
