Ingredients
  

For the Dough:

  • 2 cups 240g all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup 120ml whole milk, lukewarm
  • 2 1/4 tsp 7g active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup 50g sugar
  • 1/4 cup 60g butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cheesecake Filling:

  • 8 oz 225g cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup 50g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 cup 120ml sour cream or Greek yogurt

Cinnamon Sugar:

  • 1/2 cup 100g brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup 60g butter, softened

Strawberry Topping:

  • 1 cup 150g strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional

Cream Cheese Icing:

  • 4 oz 115g cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup 60g powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 –2 tbsp milk
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Activate yeast in warm milk.
  • Mix dough ingredients and knead 8–10 min. Let rise 1–1.5 hours.
  • Mix cream cheese filling ingredients. Set aside.
  • Prepare cinnamon sugar filling and soften butter.

Notes

  • For a shortcut, use store-bought dough and just make the fillings and toppings.
  • Can be prepared the night before and baked the next morning—just refrigerate before the second rise.
  • Use strawberry jam instead of fresh berries for a glaze-like topping.
