- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 celery stalk finely chopped
- 1 carrot peeled and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups seafood or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 pound fresh crab meat
- 1/2 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Melt butter and sauté onion, garlic, celery, and carrot for 5–7 minutes.
Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in broth and simmer 10 minutes.
Add cream, milk, crab, shrimp, wine, and tomato paste. Simmer 10–15 minutes.
Season with Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Blend to preferred consistency.
Reheat if needed and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
