Vanilla Panna Cotta
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups cream or whipping cream
- 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin
- ½ cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Strawberry Jelly
- 8 strawberries about half a packet
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¾ tsp unflavored gelatin
Bloom gelatin in milk for 5 minutes, then heat and stir to dissolve.
Add sugar, salt, and cream. Heat gently, add vanilla, and remove from heat.
Puree strawberries, strain, and extract juice.
Bloom gelatin in juice, heat until pourable.
Layer panna cotta in tilted glasses. Chill to set.
Alternate jelly and panna cotta layers, letting each set completely.
