For the Dough
- 1 1/3 cups warm water
- ¼ ounce dry yeast 1 small packet
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ¼ cup non-fat dry milk
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 6 tablespoons vegetable oil plus extra for pans
For the Sauce
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese or more
In a mixing bowl, combine dry milk, yeast, salt, and sugar.
Add warm water and let sit for 5 minutes.
Mix in vegetable oil and flour until dough forms.
Knead for 5–10 minutes on a floured surface.
Divide dough in half. Add 3 tablespoons oil into each 9” cake pan. Press dough into pans.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients. Taste and adjust seasoning.
