- 2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
Heat sugar and water in a saucepan until dissolved.
Remove from heat, stir in basil, and steep for 10 minutes.
Strain and discard basil.
Add lemon juice to the syrup and blend until smooth.
Chill for 4 hours.
Churn in an ice cream maker.
