Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions
 

  • Heat sugar and water in a saucepan until dissolved.
  • Remove from heat, stir in basil, and steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain and discard basil.
  • Add lemon juice to the syrup and blend until smooth.
  • Chill for 4 hours.
  • Churn in an ice cream maker.
