- 4 cups water
- 2 black or green tea bags or 1 tbsp loose leaf tea
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 –3 tbsp honey or sugar, adjust to taste
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves lemon slices, and extra blueberries (optional garnish)
Steep tea bags in hot water for 3–5 minutes (don’t boil for green tea). Remove and let cool.
In a bowl, combine blueberries, lemon juice, and zest. Mash gently.
Stir sweetener into warm tea until dissolved.
Add blueberry-lemon mixture to cooled tea and stir well.
Chill in fridge or serve immediately over ice.
Pour into glasses and garnish with mint, lemon, and berries if desired.
