Pretzels:
- 1½ cups warm water
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 packet 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
- 4½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup melted butter
- Non-stick spray
- 10 cups water
- ⅔ cup baking soda
- 1 large egg yolk + 1 Tbsp water
- Pretzel salt
Salsa Verde Cheese Sauce:
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 4 oz Velveeta cheese sauce packet
- ⅓ cup salsa verde
- Salt to taste
Proof yeast with water, sugar, and salt.
Knead in flour and butter; let rise until doubled.
Preheat oven to 450°F; line and oil pans.
Shape dough into pretzels; boil in baking soda bath.
Brush with egg wash, salt, and bake 12–14 minutes.
